During the first year of employment, Bus Drivers, Monitors, and Attendants are required to complete a course in school bus safety practices approved by the Commissioner of the New York State Education Department (SEO).
Instruction is provided by certified School Bus Driver instructors with a strong background in the transportation industry. They bring years of experience and share real-life scenarios to enhance learning. The training program combines both classroom instruction and hands-on experience. Upon successful completion, participants receive a certificate issued by the University of the State of New York Education Department.
School Bus Drivers who complete the training are also eligible to apply for an insurance reduction on their personal vehicles.

- Advanced Bus Driver Course
- One (1) 30-Hour Bus Driver Training Course
- One (1) 10-Hour Monitor Training Course
- Two (2) Refresher courses (Fall & Spring)
- Annual Conference
