The Summer Trades Camp hosted by Franklin Essex Hamilton BOCES is a hands-on day camp designed for middle school students to explore various career paths in the trades.
Please note: If we find there isn’t enough interest, we may have to cancel the program for this year. If that happens, we will notify any students registered.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Is Summer Trades Camp open to homeschooled children?
- Yes, it is, as long as the student lives in one of the school districts served by the program (Brushton-Moira, Chateaugay, Malone, St. Regis Falls, and Salmon River). For homeschooled students, the family will be fully responsible for covering the student’s tuition.
Will transportation be available?
- FEH BOCES does not have the ability to provide transportation, so families will be responsible for getting their student to and from camp each day.
How many students will be in each class?
- We will cap the program at 60 students this year, with 15 students in each class.
Will there be a Summer Trades Camp for FEH BOCES’s South End?
- We explored the idea for our south end as well, but unfortunately, there wasn’t enough support for it due to financial barriers. We’ll likely revisit the possibility again next year.
