The Franklin-Essex-Hamilton Counties BOCES Board of Cooperative Educational Services is pleased to announce a finalist in its search for the new District Superintendent and Chief Executive Officer.
James C. Knight, Jr.
Mr. James C. Knight currently serves as the Superintendent of Schools for the Northern Adirondack Central School District, a position he has held since 2019. Prior to his current role, he served as the Middle School Principal for the Malone Central School District.
Board President Dennis Egan stated “After multiple rounds of interviews and thoughtful input from staff, students, and community stakeholders, we have an outstanding finalist. Mr. Knight brings exceptional experience, leadership, and a clear commitment to educational excellence.”
As part of the hiring process, Mr. Knight will present to the Board of Education on Monday, June 15, 2026, followed by a question and answer period.
