Despite national and state news over the last week, there are no changes to the school mask policy.

Last week, the CDC announced that vaccinated people do not need to wear masks. CDC officials over the weekend clarified that they still recommend mask use in schools and will continue to recommend it for the rest of the school year.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced today that the state would adopt the CDC’s new mask policies.

If you’re vaccinated, the new guidelines only apply to you when you’re not in school. In all Franklin-Essex-Hamilton BOCES schools and sites, masks are still required when you’re within 6 feet of others.

If FEH BOCES changes mask policy in the future, we will communicate any changes before they go into effect. We do not anticipate any changes to any COVID guidelines before the school year ends in June.
